Our Story
Guimer was founded at the end of the 1960s as a company producing bucklesand fashion accessories.
Years that saw it grow little by little until 1989, when with the change in management Gianluca Bagnara tirelessly led the company forward to this day, without ever stopping.
Years of hard work, contacts with Italian and international suppliers and clients allowed Guimer not only to grow, but also to improve, to understand where it could dare and where it needed to stop.
Guimer: Buckle Number 90
Before 1989, Guimer produced 89 buckles. In 1990 buckle number 90 arrived, designed by the hands and creativity of Bagnara.
From buckle 90 began the new production of buckles, which today boasts 1500 models all hand-drawn.
Over the past 30 years, the company has changed greatly, growing not only in products, techniques, and processes, but also in its collaborators who, beyond being workers, have taken on a role of great responsibility in every sector.

Who We Are
For more than twenty years Rovena has been our leading buckle expert. Having grown up in the Guimer warehouses, she knows every model, every finish, and every process by heart.
If you need a code, to know what type of prong a certain buckle has, or whether it is chrome-plated or nickel-plated, she can tell you with her eyes closed.
Valentina is never still, carrying buckles back and forth. She knows every single component and accessory produced over the past 15 years and also remembers the models that have long since been put away in drawers.
Marilena is one of the historical pillars of Guimer’s administration. Precise and punctual, she manages to solve every administrative problem.
Elisa is the heart of the sales office. Over the past 13 years in the company she has learned to manage every need and request from clients.
She fell in love with her job and carries it out every day with passion so that everyone can fully understand the type of product they are purchasing.
Alberto, very young when he joined the team, now directs the design office and the workshop, conceiving and designing what the client desires and finding solutions even in the most difficult cases.
And then…
With the help of his Sicilian stubbornness, he has been able to bring added value, novelty, and innovation to the company.
Daniela is the head of the style office, a woman with a warm and friendly manner. Attentive first to the human needs and then to the professional needs of her collaborators, she has always contributed to the company’s growth without ever giving up.
Her elegance, her taste, and her continuous research have ensured that every new product goes beyond all expectations.
Gianluca, last but not least, has been the owner of Guimer since 1989. If Guimer has managed—and continues to manage—to maintain extremely high quality standards, respect, and attention to every client’s need, it is thanks to his tenacity, extensive knowledge of the sector, and passion for what he has always done while carrying forward his ideals.
Then there is our workshop, led by Mauro, made up of young men and women who every day set in motion pantographs, machinery, and welding equipment, working to contribute their own brick to these foundations.
Guimer
It is easy to celebrate ourselves, we know that well… but this is the simple story of a small company that first and foremost believed in human capital, that respected every single person it encountered along its path without ever looking back.
This is the story shared by many small and medium-sized companies that today, despite the dark years of crisis, are still here because they have shown heart, entrepreneurial spirit, and quality.
This is not meant to be an institutional page where we tell you what we do and how we do it, but rather a page that tells the values on which Guimer is founded and the people it relies on—the engine that drives it forward every day.
We do not want to tell you anything more, but we invite you to read in the profile of every buckle the work of Rovena, Valentina, Elisa, Alberto, Marilena, Daniela, Gianluca, and all the other men and women who work to create a beautiful product that can satisfy the client.
Long live Made in Italy.
